Een Prachtig Land

"Een prachtig land: of de tegenspoed van verliefd worden op de Toekomst" is Emanuele Dainotti's first solo exhibition in Belgium.

The exhibition focuses on the dichotomy between finitude and infinity in correlation with our relationship to the future. The Antwerp-based Italian artist will present a video installation, photos and sculptures. This group of works is the result of Dainotti's three-month stay in Lebanon.

Like a fluorescent green magma, the exhibition will take the visitor on a journey that starts from the Middle East to expand to a global perspective, drawing heterogeneous suggestions starting from the philosopher Timothy Morton and quantum physics, passing through Emil Cioran and Benjamín Labatut, with forays from Instagram and the new wave of Chinese Sci-Fi.
